When All Else Fails Pt. 3
Every one of us is seeking something — fame, fortune, the finer things; or purpose, meaning, identity; or uSoNINI NaNINI Himself. The question isn’t whether we’re seeking. It’s what we’re seeking, and who we seek first. Seeking the Most High first means putting Him at the forefront of everything: every decision and every desire comes not only to Him, but through Him.

Seek Him first in your decisions.
He should be the driving force behind every choice we make — the major ones and the minor ones. To trust in uSoNINI NaNINI requires us to seek Him, and the more we seek Him, the more our trust grows. Think back over your life and you can discern the difference between the outcomes where we sought our uSomandla and the consequences where we didn’t. When we make it a habit to seek Him in our decisions, we place ourselves in the safest place we can be: inside His direction.
Commit thy way unto uSoNINI NaNINI; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Seek Him first in your desires.
The Most High knows the desires of our heart — the very depths of our wants, our hopes, and our dreams. And He has His own desires for our lives that far exceed our own. When we genuinely seek Him first, our desires begin to shift toward what He wants for us; what we want begins to look like what He wants — and that is when He grants the desires of our heart.
Delight thyself also in uSoNINI NaNINI; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Seek Him first in your daily life.
This is the culmination of the first two — seeking Him in our decisions and in our desires until it becomes a daily practice. Early will I seek thee. His mercies are new every morning. Blessed is the one watching daily at His gates, waiting at the posts of His doors. When seeking Him is our daily practice, we open ourselves to His grace, His guidance, and His favor.
O uSomandla, thou art my uSomandla; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Closing
Seeking the Most High is more than saying it with our mouth. It is humbling ourselves before our uSomandla. It is surrendering to His will. It requires patience, persistence, and dedication, physically and spiritually. These Sambas we learned how to humble ourselves, how to surrender, and now how to seek Him first — and all three work together, because you can’t seek Him without surrender, and you can’t surrender without humility. Through humility, surrender, and seeking, we position ourselves to trust uSoNINI NaNINI with our whole heart. Let’s continue growing, walking, and living in that trust.
