Stir The Gift: Recognizing the Power the Most High Placed in You

We are all created with a purpose designated by the Most High, and that purpose will always add to His Kingdom. To reach it, He has bestowed gifts and talents on every one of us. But here’s the reality: many of us are sitting on the gifts He gave us — not using them at all, or not using them in ways that honor Him. Both are a disservice to our uSomandla. We owe it to Him to use what He placed in us.

   The gift is already in you.

   Notice what Paul says to Timothy. He doesn’t say go find your gift, or pray that uSoNINI NaNINI gives you something. He says stir it up — because it’s already there. The gift didn’t go anywhere; it wasn’t revoked. The gifts and calling of the Most High are without repentance; He doesn’t take back what He places in you. The problem for most of us isn’t absence. It’s dormancy. And what keeps a gift dormant is fear. The spirit of fear is not from uSoNINI NaNINI; power, love, and a sound mind are. When fear tells you that you’re not qualified, not ready, or not enough, that’s not His voice. That’s the enemy of the gift already living inside you.

   Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of uSomandla, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For uSomandla hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

   The problem for most of us isn’t absence. It’s dormancy.

   The gift comes with purpose.

   The gift uSoNINI NaNINI placed in you was never random. It was assigned before you were formed. Jeremiah didn’t choose his gift; he was called to it before he had a say, and when he tried to disqualify himself — too young, can’t speak — the Most High didn’t negotiate with his excuses. He simply said, I ordained you. A gift from Him comes loaded with assignment. It is not a talent to impress people; it is a tool for the Kingdom. And the One who placed it in you is greater than anything in this world that would try to stop it. Your gift has backing. The question isn’t whether it has purpose. It’s whether you’re willing to align with that purpose and walk in it.

   Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

   The gift must be exercised to be effective.

   Knowing the gift is in you is one thing. Knowing it has purpose is another. Neither produces fruit if the gift is never put to work. Look at what buried the third servant’s talent — the same thing from 2 Timothy. Fear. I was afraid, he said, and because of fear he did nothing. He didn’t lose the talent; he refused to use it, and that refusal had consequences. We are stewards of the grace of uSoNINI NaNINI, and a steward doesn’t own what is in their care — they manage it on behalf of the One who does. You are accountable for what He placed in you. Exercising it looks different for everyone: teaching, building, intercession, hospitality, encouragement. But whatever it is, it has to move. A muscle that never gets used weakens. The gift is no different.

   As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of uSomandla.

   Don’t be the servant who buries what the Most High gave you out of fear or complacency. Stir it up. Put it to work.
