Sound the Trumpets

As we gather in the Feast of Trumpets, we are not observing a tradition — we are stepping into an appointed time set by the Most High. And we are doing it in a shifting world: the United States and Israel in conflict with Iran, missiles exchanged, real fear of escalation. These are not separate from what we are observing. They align with it. The Feast of Trumpets is about awareness, warning, and preparation.

   The promise and the appointed times.

   Isaiah 25 shows us the promise — that the Most High will swallow up death in victory, wipe away tears, and cover His people. Leviticus 23 shows us the appointed times — the set times where He calls His people to gather, reflect, and align. And right now we are in one of them.

   He will swallow up death in victory; and uSoNINI NaNINI will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for uSoNINI NaNINI hath spoken it.

   Not a sound — a signal.

   In Scripture trumpets gather the people, sound the alarm, and announce that something is about to happen. This feast is a wake-up call, and it comes before Atonement for a reason. The question is not only what the trumpets were then, but what they are now. War and rising tension. Nations aligning. Fear increasing. Truth being flipped. These are modern-day trumpets. The Most High is allowing the world to shake to do one thing: wake His people up.

   Speak unto the children of Akobi, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

   Leviticus 23:24 KJV, as we read it

   Trumpets — wake up. Atonement — get right. You don’t come into Atonement casually.

   The trumpet has already sounded.

   As we approach Atonement, sundown to sundown, we should be asking: what in me needs correction? Where have I drifted? What has the Most High been showing me that I’ve ignored? Don’t wait until Atonement to start.

   Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
