Count It All Joy
Life isn’t easy. Bills due, rent due, wars and rumors of wars, company shutdowns, lost wages, a rising cost of living pressing on all sides. And yet through all of it, uSoNINI NaNINI has continuously brought us through — making a way out of no way. For those who belong to Him, trials are not a sign we’ve been forgotten but evidence we are being refined. So no matter what comes, we have every reason to count it all joy.
- 01
Count it all.
Not some of it. Not the parts that make sense. Not the trials you can see the end of — all of it. James wasn’t writing from a comfortable place; he was writing to scattered people, displaced, pressed, and persecuted, and his instruction wasn’t hold on or it’ll get better. It was count it all joy. Joy in the middle of trial isn’t something that comes over you — it is an active decision, a deliberate choice to trust what you cannot yet see. And verse 3 says why the choice is worth making: the trial has a job. It isn’t random. It isn’t the Most High turning His back. It’s a process, and when it runs its full course you come out perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
James 1:2–4 KJVYou count it joy because you know where it’s taking you.

Tribulation, patience, experience, hope.
Paul takes it further: we glory in tribulation — we boast in it. Not in the hardship itself, but in what it produces. Look at the cause and effect: tribulation worketh patience; patience, experience; experience, hope. This is by design. uSoNINI NaNINI doesn’t allow trials into our lives without purpose; every step is intentional, and where it leads is a hope that does not disappoint. When you come through the process you will not look back and feel you went through it for nothing. The trial was building something in you the whole time — something you couldn’t have gotten any other way.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Romans 5:3–4 KJV - 03
The night has a limit.
In His favour is life — the position we occupy as people in covenant with the Most High carries favor, and favor changes outcomes. But the Scripture doesn’t dismiss the pain. Weeping may endure for a night: the night is real, the weight of it is real, and some of us have been in seasons where it felt like the night would never end. The key word is endure. The night has a limit. It has an end point. It was never designed to be permanent. And on the other side of it, joy is coming — not maybe, not possibly. It’s already on its way.
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Psalm 30:5 KJVuSoNINI NaNINI has never let a night run without a morning on the other side of it. And He is not about to start with yours.
Closing
It leaves us with a choice — the same one James laid before scattered people, the same one Paul made from a prison cell, the same one David made when the night felt like it had no end. You can focus on the weight of what you’re carrying, or you can count it all joy, knowing the Most High has not lost track of you, that the trial has a job, that the night has a limit, and that joy is already on its way. This is faith rooted in His track record: He has brought us through before, He will bring us through again, and He will not waste a single thing you’ve been through. Whatever season you are in — hold your position. The morning is coming.
Carry into the week
Name the night you’re in. Then name what the trial is building that you could not have gotten any other way.
Priestly increasings
Now unto uSoNINI NaNINI, who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us — unto Him be glory in the assembly throughout all ages, world without end.
May uSoNINI NaNINI increase you and keep you. May He make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
And let the Assembly say, HALALELA.
